You’ll also be able to enter the most secret corners of the religious communities that make up the Cistercian Itinerary – the monasteries of Poblet (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992), Santes Creus, and Vallbona de les Monges. Closer to our own time, you’ll be captivated by the twenty-four Modernist or art nouveau buildings on the Modernist Itinerary in Reus, the cradle of art nouveau architecture on the Costa Daurada, where you can also visit different places related to the life of Antoni Gaudí, the universally famous Modernist architect.

You’ll be bewitched by the beauty of the natural landscape in the Poblet National Natural Interest Area (included in the “Areas of Natural Interest Plan”), the forests of the Prades mountains and the Montsant Natural Park that cover almost 20 km of the Montsant Mountains, including the Muntanya de la Pau (Peace Mountain), which since the 12th century has sheltered at its foot the Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei, the first of the order on the Iberian Peninsula.
